New Moon in 3…2…um…2 and a half…

Okay…it’s come to our attention that we need to clarify something.  You may not like it, either.  But I have a plan.  To soften your defenses, I present you with this verrah kyoot kitteh:

Kyoot Kitteh

Are you softened?  Have your brainz turned into a sloppy pile of lovey mush?  Good.  On with business, then.

I think some of us have had a misunderstanding.  The New Moon movie comes out on November 20th.  *squeeeeeeees*  Unfortunately, New Moon twilols DO NOT come out on November 20th WOAH BACK OFF LET ME EXPLAIN.  To make twilols, we need screencaps.  And if you take a look at what we already have up on TwiLOL.com, you’ll see that we use legal screencaps.  To be clear, we will not be in the back of the theater on November 20th illegaling taping the movie to get some janky-looking footage to make janky-looking screencaps for janky-looking twilols.  We’ll wait for the real thing, which means that whenever your favorite fansites get the whole movie capped, that is when we will begin putting up New Moon twilols.

Q:  But I’ve seen some screencaps for New Moon already - why don’t you just start with those?  Can’t you just use the screencaps from the trailers that are out?

A:  In short, sure we can.  But we’ve already written New Moon in lolspeak, and we might need to alter it a bit once we see how the movie’s chronology may differ from the book chronology.  Trailers can be decieving - you don’t always know what scene they are cutting from.  For example, I doubt that the scene in the trailer where Jacob jumps over Bella’s head and transitions is actually the scene where the wolves save her from Laurent.  We want our twilols to make sense to everyone, whether you’ve just read the book, just seen the movie, or both.  And we don’t want to start making twilols, only to find out that the PERFECT screencap is now out, but we’ve already used a not-so-perfect one for that caption.  Most importantly, we want this to flow.  We want to continue posting one a week when the New Moon movie is capped, and we don’t want to have to break at odd times when we run out of screencaps.  We are waiting for the whole thing to be done before we start.  Simply put, we want you to be able to count on us.  We want you to know that you’ll have lols from the movies EVERY FRIDAY.

Q:  So when will the movie be capped?

A:  We have an estimation…just based on how long it took for Twilight screencaps to become available.  But we aren’t going to throw out that date on a timeline because it’s not for sure.  We don’t have any insider info.  Your guess is as good as ours.  But based on when we *think* we will have New Moon screencaps, we are pretty sure that we can keep one Twilight lol coming each Friday until that happens.  We’ve planned ahead as much as we can - please keep the faith!

Just to be clear, it will be the same process for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn - we will wait for the legal, good quality screencaps from reputable sites.  We’ll be on the lookout for screencaps, but it’s very possible they won’t come out until the movie is out on DVD.  You can understand why that might be, right?  But if you want to speed the process along, feel free to watch for screencaps, too - and let us know if you see something we don’t.

FAQ: Ceiling Cat, Basement Cat and NOM

Hi readers!

Hayley and I try pretty hard to read all of your emails, comments, tweets, and re-tweets.  Okay fine…we are obsessed with them and spend many emails back and forth to each other talking about them.  We can’t live without them.  So keep it up!

There were a couple lolspeak questions that popped up - understandably so.  As all of our teachers always tell us, if you have a question, someone else surely has the same one, so ASK it.  We will answer!

Q:  What the heck is the Ceiling Cat/Basement Cat thing?

A:  This is definitely a lolcats thing.  Have you been to icanhazcheezburger.com?  If not - go there.  Ceiling Cat and Basement Cat are basically a loose reference to…good and evil?  A cat to be worshipped vs. a cat who is doing evil deeds and will corrupt you?  Something like that.  Cats on the floor pray to “Ceiling Cat” - usually a cat who perches up high and looks down upon the minions.  Basement Cat is usually black, with glowing eyes, lurking in the darkness ready to steal your soul.  Our TwiLOL characters have adopted Ceiling Cat and Basement Cat, so plan on seeing them again when they are in need of help, be it for good or evil.

Q:  What is “nom?”

A:  Another lolspeakism.  Nom is both a noun and a verb.  You nom your pizza.  Pizza is a nom.  When you eat your pizza, the sound you make is “nom.”  Our TwiLOL vampires nom humans…or bears, mountain lions, elk, etc. if they are vegitarian.  The humans prefer more traditional noms.  And when Bella saw that mushroom ravioli, she was like “NOM.”

Feel free to ask us more questions anytime, and keep commenting!

 Love,

Julie

TwiLOL Posting Schedule

Hello readers!  We thought it only fair to update you on our TwiLOL schedule, since you are kind enough to visit.  Basically…we don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves.  We plan on waiting for movie screenshots before doing New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.  Luckily, they are planning to crank all of those out, so the wait shouldn’t be too painful.

After some impressive math done by Hayley, she figured we have enough Twilight TwiLOLs stored up to post ONE a week until New Moon screen shots are out.  So we’ll post those every Friday.

That doesn’t mean we won’t have new TwiLOLs every weekday, however!  We have plenty of random TwiLOLs, and with your help, we’ll be posting fan TwiLOLs regularly as well.  So there should be something new for you to check out every day, and if you follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/TwiLOL, we’ll point you directly to the new stuff.

Thanks for being here!  Your comments are seriously like crack, so keep them coming!  (That was a joke - drugs r bad.)

Love,

Julie
